Bout time I blogged

I haven't blogged for like ages! Nothing to write is my problem.

An update on my books.

I've completed the edits for Animal Instincts and emailed them back to Siren. Just waiting for the second and final edits. I have received the cover and Jinger has done an awesome job.

Body Rocks is now definitely finished. I plan on doing nothing further with it. It stands at 48k. A massive achievement considering I didn't think I'd get to the 35k mark. I have done the brief synopsis and plan on submitting it to Siren when I have almost completed Lust in the First Degree. A couple of months at the most.

Lust in the First Degree is the new title for Laws of Lust. So far I've written almost 17k, but at least half of that is stuff I'd already written, like the sex scenes etc. Some people start at Chapter 1, I start at the sex scenes! They need some major editing though as they're in both Matt and Darcy's POV. I need to seperate their POV so not only do they read better but to add a few thousand words to the manuscript. One sex scene I haven't written though is an anal one. Yep, I'm going for anal this time. What I've briefly jotted down is hot, hot, hot! I've surprised even myself.

After finishing the Anderson series, I intend to write 'Addiction' about Anakin Howard (the brother of Leia from Secret Eyes). And then I have an idea for a new series titled 'Sins of Silver Creek'. The first book will be a MFM. Another first for me.

Animal Instincts

Today I received the edits for Animal Instincts. But am I thick or what? My editor suggested in the areas where I have used a semi-colon, I should use a period instead as per house style. It took me a full ten minutes to work out that she meant a full stop!

Body Rocks

An update on Body Rocks, the third in the Anderson series. It now stands at almost 43k. I really want to reach 45k but at this point in time I'm not sure how. An extra chapter will tax my brain. And my brain is taxed enough as it is what with misbehaving kids and thinking if another title for Laws of Lust. Maybe I should leave the title as it is. The others - Handcuffed With Love, Against The Law, Lawless and countless others just don't leap off the page for me. I think I'm trying too hard. Time for a break... Well, at least until I've eaten my tea!

Result with Piracy!

On Sunday, and following a message on the Siren Bookstrand Author Group site, I  had cause to send a DMCA takedown notice to ebookr.com. Never sent one before. I must admit I haven't looked at any piracy sites before for any of my books, mainly because I couldn't be bothered. But for some reason on this occasion I did. Together Forever was listed as a free download, and due to disappointing sales, this made me angry. Hence the reason for my very first DMCA takedown notice (probably won't be the last either!). And today, I received confirmation that my complaint had been processed and Together Forever has been deleted from their site. A tiny victory in a very large piracy world.

We authors work very hard and don't want to see piracy sites taking our money. So folks, if you want to read our books, and they're not offered as a free download from the authors themselves, then buy them from the publisher. For me that's Siren Bookstrand, or if you don't want to purchase in dollars, then get them through amazon.co.uk.

Body Rocks

Just when I thought I'd finished Body Rocks, I find that I haven't! To coincide with the timeline in the fourth and final book - Laws of Lust (and I'm still not sure of that title) I need to add an extra day. It will add another 5-10k, but what to write? I don't like adding boring filling-in-the-gaps scenes because as a reader myself I don't like to read them. Perhaps another sex scene? Nope, that won't do. I'm all out of sex scenes for this book!  So what to write? Answers on a post card please!
